Ruth Farr at the Twisted Pepper 07/05/2013

In a conversation that ranged from the eclectic to the earthy, with poems ranging from childhood memories of planting flowers to defiance of corrupt Authority figures, to even a few interruptions by noisy seagulls, poet Ruth Farr amused and delighted all who came to hear her. Seven Towers are accepting submissions to Census 4, the fourth Seven Towers Anthology. This Anthology is a collaboration between the spoken word and the written word all contributors are committed to performing and reading their work in public places and all have read at events organised by or participated in by Seven Towers.

Christodoulos Makris

Christodoulos Makris has published three books of poetry: Spitting Out the Mother Tongue (Wurm Press, 2011), Round the Clock (Wurm Press, 2009) and the artist's book Muses Walk (yes but is it poetry, 2012). This June he will represent Cyprus at Poetry Parnassus, a festival featuring 204 poets, each representing an Olympic nation, as part of London's Cultural Olympiad and the London 2012 celebrations. Kit Fryatt

Afric McGlinchey

The 2011 winner of the Hennessy Award for Emerging Poetry, Irish-born Afric McGlinchey’s poems have appeared in a number of journals, including Magma, Poetry Ireland Review, Southword, Revival, Scottish Poetry Review, New Mirage and The SHOp.
